Political/ Social, Industrial, Pursuits and Achievements

  • Raja Farooq Haider Khan belongs to a political family.His father Raja Muhammad Haider Khan(late) had been serving as Minister Defence in Azad Kashmir Government and was elected President Muslim Conference twice in 1960 and in 1963 .

  • His mother Late, Saeda Khanum was the first female member of Legislative Assembly in the history of Azad Kashmir .

  • In 1958 ,Raja Farooq Haider Khan spent one month in Dulai prison along with his father Raja Muhammad Haider Khan(late) .

  • He remained President Muslim Conference District Muzaffarabad from 1986 to1990 .

  • His uncle Raja Muhammad Latif Khan remained a member of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly in 1970 .

  • His sister Miss Naureen Haider also remained a member of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 1996 .

  • He remained Chairman Central Parliamentary Board of Muslim Conference from 1989 to 2001 .

  • He remained General Secretary Muslim Conference from 1997 to2001.

  • He remaine Senior Deputy President Muslim Conference from 2004 to 2006 .

  • In 1985, he was elected as a member of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly and served as a Senior Minister and Minister Education .

  • In 1991, he was again elected as a member of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly and served as Government Minister .

  • He remained Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission from 2001 to 2003 .

  • He remained Special Assistant to Prime Minister from 2003 to 2006 .

  • He remained as a member of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2007 and had been serving as Chairman Pubic Accounts Committee .

  • He was elected President Muslim Conference in 2009.
